While the vast majority of crypto tokens, currencies and coins will go to zero over the next few years, digital currencies, in one form or another, are in our future. A cursory look at what central banks are doing today with the supply of the currencies they control and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that a better alternative will surely evolve over time. Technological developments will make it inevitable. Bitcoin has first mover advantage and has a good chance of surviving and thriving over time. There is another innovative technology in early stage development that has a real chance of thriving in a digital world. That technology is called Ravencoin (RVN).
I think all assets are on their way to being tokenised / securitised, so that in the future you will be able own your own digital wallet and store units of anything from art to property, public companies and private, infrastructure and venture capital opportunities. In the future, it will be easy to create and transfer assets digitally, eliminating the need for investment banks and Wall Street. Ravencoin allows you to create and transfer and store assets digitally and it is completely decentralized. Ravencoin is a protocol based on a fork of the Bitcoin code which adds features specifically focused on allowing tokens to be issued on the Ravencoin blockchain. These tokens can have whatever properties the issue of the token decides - so they can be limited in quantity, named and be issued as securities or as collectibles.
I like the principle behind it and the fact that no one party holds or controls a majority stake. Its also designed to make mining large quantities difficult to prevent control/stake building.
